Big Rock Finish is back! Sort of.
Focusing on two main points:
Band Features (click here for more info)
Band Photography (click here for more info)
Aiming to update at least twice a week, every Monday and Thursday to give equal amounts of exposure time to every band I can find!
Starting January 2011, will be going through the last two or three years of emails to find bands to feature, but if you want to start contacting me for a post feel free to do so.

Big Rock Finish (now) aims to concentrate heavily on “mini reviews” of live shows, and concert photography. Since a picture says a thousand words, and the main webmaster has a tendency to take a thousand photos, this is the best amalgamation of my (Angela a.k.a. rokky) hobbies of music appreciation and photography. While every attempt will be made for regular and frequent posting, there will be no promises.
Our goal at this point in time will be to help promote shows by independent artists to encourage attendance, attend shows, photograph bands, and finally showcase to the world what everyone who missed out.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of interest from would-be writers (i.e. people who tell me they want to write for the site, but never produce the written material in time) and the ever-increasing constraints on my personal free time (I’m going to the gym to get healthy again!) Big Rock Finish has been put on an undetermined temporary hiatus. For the time being, I will be populating this blog with band photography I’ve taken throughout the years.

Big Rock Finish is *NOT* run by musicians, but it is run for musicians.
Big Rock Finish (www.bigrockfinish.com) is a newly formed online blog that is centered around the independent/underground music community. It is a site for music reviews, music promotion, and hopefully networking between independent bands.
It is the goal of Big Rock Finish to provide the unsuspecting public a central location to read about all the great talent that currently exists, showcasing nightly in pubs, bars, clubs and other smaller venues in and around your local neighbourhood.
It is also the goal of Big Rock Finish to show the world that great music has nothing to do with the price of getting in the door, and that for around $5-10 you can see bands that just as good, if not (and often) better than those that charge $50-100.
Big Rock Finish is primarily located in Toronto, Ontario. Canada. So the majority of the bands that will be reviewed and checked out will be from the Toronto area, or Canadian, before we begin to venture into international artists. It’s not anything against you for living in another country, but we’ve got so much talent here, that it is our goal to focus on “home-grown” talent first.
